For our office in Sofia, we are looking for an experienced Production Director to take overall responsibility for the management, development, performance and maintenance of the production part of the organization. Our ideal candidate will have a good understanding of DPC production processes or experience in a similar business, excellent people management and leadership abilities.  The role is reporting to the COO, based in the Netherlands and works closely with all teams in Sofia but also our other two offices.

Responsibilities: 

• Overseeing and leading production and support teams in the Sofia Office – management (People & Project), IT (licenses) and creative departments.

• Coordinating the work of different production teams, such as virtual fashion, textures, asset delivery, etc. to manage production workflow, schedule and quality.

• Setting ambitious production goals and communicating them to Project Managers, the Production Team and Team Leads.

• Striving to increase productivity and reduce expenses across all product lines.

• Assessing workflows to identify bottlenecks and implementing solutions to streamline production and optimize processes.

• Attending regular meetings with the COO for strategic planning, reviewing workload distribution, projects progress, and overall production goals.

• Empowering, supporting, motivating and guiding Managers and Team Leads in managing the day-to-day work.

• Assessing knowledge gaps within the production team and anticipating future training needs, leading to the continuous development of people.

• Staying on top, together with HR, of production team hiring, performance management process, compensation and employee relations.

• Having a good overall understanding of customer requirements.

• Preparing and maintaining various production reports.

• Experience in leading a large team/organization, ideally in a similar environment which is technologically and/or creatively oriented.

• Knowledge of the DPC life cycle, budgets and timelines would be considered a strong advantage.

• Excellent organizational, time and self-management skills.

• Strong knowledge of production management and experience working in a digital or creative environment.

• Proven experience as a Production director or a similar role.

• Project management and leadership skills and experience.

• Experience in reporting on key production metrics.

• Ability to identify opportunities for improvement and translate them into tangible action steps.

• Excellent communication skills, both in Bulgarian and English.

• Ability to drive and motivate a team.    

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Solid decision-making skills and a result-driven approach.
